Drugs in Breastmilk information service

We have a number of factsheets providing information on taking prescription drugs, undergoing various treatments and living with certain health conditions while breastfeeding. If you are unable to find the information you are looking for, or you still have questions, you can contact our team of Pharmacists by sending a private message via our Facebook page or via email.  Please provide as much information as possible (age of baby, dose, frequency and name of medication or drug).

Our service is operational every day of the year within the hours of 8:30am-8:30pm and we endeavour to respond within 24 hours. Enquiries will be answered by our pharmacist volunteers on shift, as soon as possible. This is not an emergency service. In an emergency situation, please access support from a trained healthcare professional. Information on services near you and how to contact them is available on the NHS website.

Peer support services

Peer support is at the heart of what we do. It means you can talk to someone who has experience of breastfeeding who is also trained to provide evidence-based information and support to other parents. We offer a range of services in many areas across the UK. Take a closer look to see what might be available in your area.
