PEER SUPPORT SERVICE

Midlothian

The Midlothian Breastfeeding Alliance, working with the Breastfeeding Network and NHS Lothian, has trained peer support volunteers in your local area.  All our volunteers have breastfed their own children and then completed training so that they can support other families.

Type of services available

We run face-to-face groups in various settings across Midlothian.

We are involved in running a Scotland wide Zoom group every Tuesday evening.

Details for all of our groups can be found here:

Social media and other links

Our linktree has a calendar summary added every month and there are posters for each group with dates for groups that don’t run weekly.  We keep this as up to date as possible.  Occasionally it is not possible to update the Linktree for short notice closures/emergencies.  Any short notice cancellations will be updated on our Facebook page as soon as we can.

Please be aware that a small team of volunteers will see emails and messages to our Facebook page. If you contact us by email, please send just a brief outline of your question or concern initially so we can support you in the most appropriate way.
