Course Title: Supporters (Pan Projects) – 2 cohorts being advertised

Course Type: Full Supporters course

Number of places available: Total of 16 places (8 on each cohort)

Prerequisites: Active and registered BfN Helper in one of these service areas, with a satisfactory Supervisor reference (please speak to your Supervisor before applying):

  • Forth Valley
  • Islington
  • Tower Hamlets
  • Wokingham
  • Shropshire

Course start date: 10th January 2024

Course end date: 17/07/2024 or 06/11/2024 depending on cohort – see dates below)

Day and time of sessions: Wednesdays – two cohorts as below

AM: Wednesdays 10:00am-12:00pm
First assignment due: 22/01/2024
Final assignment due: 29/07/2024
PM: Wednesdays 6:30-8:30pm
First assignment due: 05/02/2024
Final assignment due: 18/11/2024

Duration: 2 hours per week on either Zoom or BfN training site with assignment completion. There are 13 assignments in total. 

Course venue: Online (Zoom)

Closing date for applications: 28/11/2023

Proposed interview date (if applicable): Online group interview Wednesday 06/12/2023, 10am – 11.30am

DBS/PVG required: Yes (BfN will arrange this at no cost to volunteers)

This course is suitable for active and registered BfN Helpers in the following service areas:

  • Telford & Wrekin
  • Stoke on Trent
  • Haringey
  • Derbyshire
  • Midlothian
  • Forth Valley
  • Islington
  • Tower Hamlets
  • Wokingham
  • Shropshire

You must be active Helpers within their local service and will need to ask your Supervisor for a reference, so please discuss with them in advance before providing their email address in your application as they will be contacted automatically at the point of application.
