Course information:
We are training a cohort of Breastfeeding Network peer support volunteers to support families across South Tyneside at community venues, Children’s Centres and Family Hub venues.

We are keen to ensure the volunteers represent the local population so ask for applications from those who live in the Borough of South Tyneside and have breastfed their own baby for a period of time (or expressed milk to feed to their baby).

We welcome applications from people in the areas covered by South Tyneside Family Hubs.  Unfortunately we are unable to accept applications from outside this area – see here for details:

https://southtynesidefamilyhubs.co.uk/the-hubs/ Following completion of the training and registration with the Breastfeeding Network, volunteers will be expected to commit to regular volunteering for a period of at least one year.

Priority will be given to residents of the Borough of South Tyneside.
