Course Title: Helpers South and East Hampshire

Number of places available: 6

Course start date: Monday 6th January 2025

Course end date: Monday 24th March 2025

Day and time of sessions: Mondays 10am-12pm:

  • Session 1 – Monday 6th January 10am-12pm
  • Session 2 – Monday 13th January 10am-12pm
  • Session 3 – Monday 20th January 10am-12pm
  • Session 4 – Monday 27th January 10am-12pm
  • Session 5 – Monday 3rd February 10am-12pm
  • Session 6 – Monday 10th February 10am-12pm
  • Session 7 – Monday 17th February 10am-12pm

*Half term week*

  • Session 8 – Monday 3rd March 10am-12pm
  • Session 9 – Monday 10th March 10am-12pm
  • Session 10 – Monday 17th March 10am-12pm
  • Session 11 – Monday 24th March 10am-12pm

Assignments to be completed by: Monday 24th March 2025

Course venue: All training sessions will be face-to-face at: Cowplain Church, Durley Avenue, Cowplain, Waterlooville PO8 8XA.

Reasonable travel expenses to attend the training can be covered.

Closing date for applications: 10/12/2024

Proposed interview date (if applicable): Tuesday 17th December 10am-12pm

DBS required: Yes (BfN will arrange this at no cost to volunteers)

Course information:
The BfN project in South and East Hampshire has received National Lottery funding to train a cohort of Breastfeeding Network volunteers to provide peer support alongside weekly breastfeeding groups across the area. These groups are in a variety of venues.

Following completion of the training and registration with the Breastfeeding Network, volunteers will be expected to provide weekly support to families in their local community.

There is no crèche for the training but children are welcome to attend with you.

Please indicate what area(s) you would be able to volunteer in on your application form:

  • East Hampshire (Bordon, Petersfield, Clanfield etc)
  • Havant (Hayling Island, Waterlooville etc)
  • Gosport
  • Fareham
