Helper2025/04 Telford & Wrekin Start for Life

Course Title: Helpers (Telford & Wrekin Start for Life)

Number of places available: 4 available

Course start date: 13/09/2024 (intro call); 20/09/2024 (session 1)

Course end date: 08/11/2024

Day and time of sessions: Fridays 10am-12pm for 7 weeks.
Weekly Zoom calls with a tutor for 2 hours per week plus online guided study of 1-2 hours per week. Zoom sessions as follows:

  • 13th Sept – Intro Call
  • 20th Sept
  • 27th Sept
  • 04th October
  • 11th October
  • 18th October
  • 25th October
    —–Week break for half term—–
  • 8th November

Assignments to be completed by: 15/11/2024

Course venue: Online via Zoom

Closing date for applications: 23/07/2024 (extended from 16/07/2024)

Proposed interview date (if applicable): Group interview and info session via Zoom – 1:30-2:30pm on 12/09/2024 (must be able to attend if selected)

DBS/PVG required: Yes (BfN will arrange this at no cost to volunteers)

Course information:
Applicants must be able to commit to volunteering in Telford Hospital or Telford & Wrekin Community setting following completion of the course.
