Helper2024/34 Derbyshire

Course Title: Helpers (Derbyshire)

Prerequisites: Must have completed the ‘BfN Derbyshire Group Host Training’ course before applying for the Helper course.  If you have not yet completed this course please email derbyshire@breastfeedingnetwork.org.uk to arrange this.

Number of places available: 12 total (5 remaining)

Course start date: 15/01/2024

Course end date: 22/04/2024

Day and time of sessions: Friday mornings, 10am – 12pm with at least one in-person session (probably in Matlock, date TBC). First session will be on 15th January 2024 and the last will be 22nd April 2024 with a 2 week break for the Easter holidays. 2 hours per week on either Zoom or BfN online training site with assignment completion.

Assignments to be completed by: 22/04/2024

Course venue: Online (Zoom)

Closing date for applications: 19/12/2023, further extended from 05/12/2023 (originally 28/11/2023)

Proposed interview date (if applicable): Group interview (online using Zoom or Teams) on Friday 8th December, 1pm-2pm

DBS required: Yes (BfN will arrange this at no cost to volunteers)

Course information:
Volunteers must be able to regularly attend breastfeeding support groups in Derbyshire – Please state where you will be able to volunteer – see our list of groups here.

Following completion of training, volunteers must commit to a minimum of one year of volunteering.
