Course Title: Helpers (Telford & Wrekin Start for Life)

Number of places available: recruiting for 3 remaining places

Course start date: w/c 11th September 2023 (meet and greet); first session w/c 18th September 2023

Course end date: 21/12/2023

Day and time of sessions: Two training cohorts are being recruited – successful trainees will be placed in either the Tuesday or Thursday group.

Trainees are welcome to have babies with them on Zoom calls and at face to face sessions. Most (if not all) training  sessions will be via Zoom.

Tuesdays (10am-12pm)Thursdays (12:30pm-2:30pm)
Meet and greet: 12/09/2023
Session 1: 19/09/2023
then 2 hours per week for 12 weeks
Meet and greet: 14/09/2023
Session 1: 21/09/2023
then 2 hours per week for 12 weeks

Assignments to be completed by: 19/12/2023 (Tuesdays); 21/12/2023 (Thursdays)

Course venue: Online (Zoom)

Closing date for applications: 22/08/2023

Proposed interview date (if applicable): to be arranged week commencing 28/08/2023 (online)

DBS required: Yes (BfN will arrange this at no cost to volunteers)

Course information:
Geographical Priority Areas. Volunteers must be able to regularly attend breastfeeding support groups in Telford & Wrekin area or at Princess Royal Hospital, Telford.

Minimum 1 year commitment following training course. If volunteering in the hospital setting babies would not be permitted, at some community groups we do have volunteers who bring babies/toddlers with them.
