Assignments to be completed by: Friday 8th December 2023

Course venue: Mainly online via Zoom apart from the 28th November which will be face-to-face at venues to be confirmed (potentially Ryde for IOW and Havant for mainland Hampshire)

Closing date for applications: Tuesday 8th August 2023

Proposed interview date (if applicable): Friday 18th August 2023 informal interview and information session via Zoom.

DBS required: Yes (BfN will arrange this at no cost to volunteers)

Course information:
Isle of Wight:
We are training a cohort of Breastfeeding Network volunteers to provide peer support alongside weekly Breastfeeding Groups within Barnados Family Centres on the Isle of Wight. Following completion of the training and registration with the Breastfeeding Network, volunteers will be expected to provide weekly support to families in their local community. Please indicate in your application which areas you would be able volunteer in: 
East Cowes
West Cowes
Ryde
Newport
Sandown
Shanklin
Ventnor
Freshwater
Other (please give details)

Mainland Hampshire:
We are also offering places on this training course to increase our volunteer network within South and East Hampshire. Following completion of the training and registration with the Breastfeeding Network, volunteers will be expected to provide weekly support to families in their local community. Please indicate in your application which areas you would be able volunteer in:

East Hampshire
Petersfield
Bordon
