Course Title: Helpers (Haringey)

Number of places available: 12

Course start date: 05/06/2023 (prep meeting), 19/06/2023 (formal course start date)

Course end date: 23/10/2023

Day and time of sessions: Mondays 10:30am-12:30pm

Duration:  13 sessions

Assignments to be completed by: November 2023

Course venue: Welbourne Children’s Centre, Stainby Road, London, N15 4EA

Closing date for applications: 23/05/2023 (extended from 09/05/2023)

Proposed interview date (if applicable): Will be arranged following closing date, using Zoom (online) 

DBS required: Yes (BfN will arrange this at no cost to volunteers)

Creche: A creche will be available for the training course where needed.  

Course information: 
Priority will be given to candidates from the east of the borough.  Applicants must be able to commit to volunteering after training, in the absence of crèche facilities.  Whilst this course is to recruit volunteer peer supporters, in the future we expect paid positions to be available within the Haringey Breastfeeding Peer Support Service for trained peer supporters, following a separate recruitment process, and registered volunteers will be able to apply for these at that time.
