Job Title: Service Manager (Souhtwark)

Salary: £18.50 per hour

Number of Posts: 1

Type of Contract: Fixed Term until 31/03/2027

Start Date: 1st November 2026

Hours of Work: 18 per week

Working Pattern: Monday to Wednesday

Work Location: Southwark and Home

Responsible to: Programme Manager

Closing Date: 13/10/2026

Proposed Interview Date: 21st October, online

Job Information: The Breastfeeding Network (BfN) is commissioned by Southwark Council to provide a breastfeeding peer support service. We are looking for passionate and motivated Service Manager to lead and develop the breastfeeding peer support service, take responsibility for maintaining good working relationships with local NHS, council and third sector partners and ensure that all reporting obligations are met. The post holder will be both able to work independently and a team player, working closely with colleagues, local health teams, key partners and stakeholders. The postholder will manage the team of peer supporters, ensure compliance with organisational and local policy, monitor feedback from families, produce and present quarterly reports, and lead on promoting the service, raising knowledge and awareness of Peer Support in Southwark by making every contact with families, local volunteers, other key partners and services count by using social media and communication tools.
