Job Title: Community Volunteer Coordinator (Sandwell)

Salary: £13.19 per hour

Number of Posts: 1

Type of Contract: Fixed Term until 31/03/2026

Start Date: August 2024

Hours of Work: 5 per week

Work Location: Home with Frequent travel across Sandwell community – including Birmingham City Hospital

Responsible to: Service Manager

Closing Date: 25/06/2024

Proposed Interview Date: w/c 8th July 2024

Job Information: The Community Volunteer Coordinator is a community-based role which will job-share with the Volunteer Coordinator to jointly oversee, engage and motivate volunteer peer supporters in person at groups/clinics in Sandwell and on wards at Birmingham City Hospital.

They will work closely with the Volunteer Coordinator and Service Manager, playing an integral role in the general day to day workings of the volunteer work schedules and data collection.

Duties of the role will include · Joint responsibility for ensuring that volunteers are appropriately trained, developed and supervised – this will include attending groups/clinics/wards in person. · Liaise with BfN Tutors/Supervisors, local partners and community venues to organise training courses. · Attending relevant local in person groups/meetings to represent BfN Sandwell.

The working hours will need to be flexible to support volunteers and service needs – there is the expectation that there may be some evening and weekend working required.
