INTERNAL BfN2023/16 Supervisor (Lambeth – virtual) – closing date 31/05/2022

Job Title:  Supervisor (Lambeth – virtual)

Salary:  £15.15 per hour plus rolled up holiday pay £2.27 per hour

Number of posts: 1

Type of contract: Fixed term annualised to March 2023

Start date:  June 2022

Hours of work: 35 hours in total annualised over 10 months:

  • 9 x 2-hour supervision sessions (to be planned with Service Coordinator)
  • 9 x 1-hour prep / follow up / post session admin
  • 8 hours ad-hoc 1:1 supervision, re-registration and annual returns admin

Work location: Home for prep/admin and virtual/video supervision sessions.  If the Supervisor is local they may wish to host face to face sessions at a centre in Lambeth but this is not necessary.

Responsible to: Service Coordinator

Closing Date: 31/05/2022

Proposed interview date: Teams video, week beginning 06/06/2022

Job information:
We are recruiting a BfN Supervisor to focus mainly on newly qualified Helpers in Lambeth; at times more experienced Lambeth volunteers may attend.  

The Supervisor will be required to provide a regular supportive space for newly qualified trainees to reflect on their online and in person volunteering experience, offer guidance, encourage active volunteering and support their transition into the established local supervision group. It will be necessary to liaise with the Lambeth Service Lead, Deputy and Supervisor to work as a team and ensure supervision dates don’t clash with other local key dates. The successful appointee may be required to support with other Lambeth volunteers where hours allow, e.g. registration, supervision.
