Big Tea Break event 2018

Join in with our Big Tea Break event to support our Drugs in Breastmilk Information service!

This October spend time with friends, enjoy some cake and maybe even do some exercise – and the money you raise will help make sure more families can access evidence-based information on the use of medication while breastfeeding.dibm_badge_rgb_low-res (2)

The Breastfeeding Network’s Big Tea Break is an annual fundraising event running between 1st-31st October 2018, raising money for our Drugs in Breastmilk information service.

Through this service, we have been offering independent, evidence-based, confidential information and support via a trained pharmacist and volunteers since 1995. The demand for the service has increased every year and we now receive on average 550 emails per month from health professionals and families. We also have a very busy Facebook page @BfNDrugsinBreastmilkinformation which receives around 600 requests for support every month.

The service doesn’t receive any external funding so we rely on fundraising and donations to keep the service running.

The theme this year is around referring to evidence-based information, such as the DIBM Factsheets available on our website or our recently updated Information Pack available from our online shop.  You can follow the #DontSayStopLookItUp thread on Twitter for more information.

Join us for our virtual run

Why not challenge yourself (and maybe a friend) to cover 20km in any way you like throughout the month of October?
