Course information:
The Haringey Peer Support Service are commissioned by Haringey Council to provide peer support to breastfeeding families in the borough.
We are always looking for parents to join our friendly team and are delighted to offer this course to local residents.
This OCN-accredited course will run for 12 weeks during term time, to train local breastfeeding parents as peer supporters.
Priority will be given to applicants who live in Haringey and can commit to volunteering all over the borough. A creche will be provided for the duration of the course – we are unable to provide childcare for volunteers. The training venue is in Wood Green, is fully accessible and with good connections to public transport. As a council commissioned peer supporter course, it is important that applicants can commit time to volunteering in Haringey. Priority will be given to residents of the borough during the selection process. It is also a priority that our peer supporter team represents all communities that exist in Haringey, and so we are asking all applicants to advise of their ethnicity and details on languages spoken, if you feel able to.
