Day and time of sessions: Wednesdays 10am to midday.

Course venue: 6 weeks taught online, 2 weeks taught face to face locally, 1 week off for half term and 3 weeks of self learning with access to resources. Project staff available during normal course times during self learning weeks
Closing date for applications: 28th July 2026
Proposed interview date (if applicable): W/C 10th August
DBS/PVG required: Yes (BfN will arrange this at no cost to volunteers)
Course information: For Midlothian applicants, priority will be given to those who live in Midlothian, and who are available to volunteer on a Tuesday or Wednesday, but this is not essential depending on circumstance.
For Ayrshire & Arran applicants, morning availability especially Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays will be prioritised.
Babies and children can attend if no childcare available for face to face sessions.
