Day and time of sessions: Friday’s 10:30-12:30 starting 11th September

Course venue: 2 Face-to-Face sessions at Craig Park Family Hub N18 2HN on 23 Oct 2026 and 04 Dec 2026
10 online sessions via Zoom

DBS/PVG required: Yes (BfN will arrange this at no cost to volunteers)

Course information: We offer emotional and practical breastfeeding support to mothers and expectant mothers, helping them feel heard, supported, and confident.
Role and Responsibilities
Provide emotional and practical breastfeeding support to mothers and expectant mothers
Listen, build confidence, and support positioning and attachment
Share evidence-based information within BfN guidelines
Signpost to health professionals when needed
Work within role boundaries, confidentiality, and supervision

Committed for minimum 4 hours volunteering time in a month and attends 4-6 online team supervision in a 6 month period. Complete the course and mandatory training.

To support parents in the Enfield Borough Additional language speakers welcomed particularly Turkish, Somali, Arabic.

Candidates should have their own personal breastfeeding experience and interested in supporting other mums in their breastfeeding journey.
