INTERNAL BfN2022/51 Translator (Languages spoken in Ukraine)

Vacancy Reference: BfN2022/51

Job Title: Translator and Speakers

Salary: £9.50ph + £1.38 RUHP (Real Living wage rates apply: £10.85 plus £1.57 RUHP if London Based)

Number of posts: 1 (hours may be shared between multiple post-holders)

Type of contract: Zero hours

Start date: Immediate

Hours of work: Ad hoc as required

Work location: Home

Responsible to: Programme Managers

Closing Date: We would like to provide help and support as soon as possible.  Please note that we will fill the vacancies when a suitable applicant applies throughout the process.  

Job description and main duties:
Due to the ongoing situation in the Ukraine, BfN would like to support any refugees who find themselves relocated to the UK and in need of breastfeeding support. We are unsure when this need may arise but we would like to be prepared.

We are looking for people who are completely fluent in:

  • Ukrainian
  • Russian
  • German
  • Polish
  • Any other language spoken in Ukraine

 

Person Specification:

  • Written fluency in Ukrainian or other language(s) listed above – Essential
  • Experience of translating documents – Desirable
  • Awareness and understanding of relevant BfN policies and code of conduct – Essential
  • At least one of the following – Essential:
    • Registered BfN Helper or Supporter (including Helpline Supporter) OR
    • ABM Registered volunteer active on NBH OR
    • Existing BfN staff
