Job Title: Community Peer Supporter (Glasgow City)
Salary: £9.30 per hour

Hours of work: 15hrs per week in total, to be worked across five days. Hours can be shared covering 5 days between 2 post holders. Hours must be worked between 10am – 4pm.
Work location: Home – with possible travel to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital
Responsible to: Scottish PfG Project Manager

The Breastfeeding Network is setting up a new service in Glasgow City to train community buddies and peer supporters and to deliver telephone support to local families. The project has a specific focus on targeting families where there may be additional barriers to accessing support and in reaching diverse communities in Glasgow City. The Community Peer Supporter(s) will be responsible for offering 1:1 peer support to families working with BfN colleagues, partner organisations and local volunteers. This is a short term project initially but may be extended depending on initial outcomes.
Suitably qualified applicants may choose to apply for both Glasgow roles currently advertised (Service Coordinator ref BfN2021/57 and Community Peer Supporter ref BfN2021/58) but should note that a separate application and application form will be needed as the criteria for each role is different.
